Dude, that was really cool. My teacher in college did it for 40 years and had a big yellow nail he used for a pick. But he made me hate the guitar. But that was so natural and the teacher is not at all annoying like most people on the internet.

Could be old strings, could be an old dried up guitar, might not be tuned right. tons of things could be possibly wrong you should take it in somewhere or have a friend who knows about guitars look at it ! good luck!

It might not be tuned right. Go to google and type in Online Guitar Tuner. Click like the 3rd one, it says “8notes’ or somethin.
